Journey 012

Some of us have heard money cannot buy joy, or peace of mind. Joy comes from God.

Have you ever looked at someone and thought that person looks happy and peaceful and you wish you had their life, then you have a proper chat with the person and find out all that is going on in their life, and all they are struggling with. Then you rethink that you are happy where you are in your life.

Sometimes we think we are going through worse things in life, but the truth is the other person who is supporting you could be going through far worse things than you can ever imagine, they have just found a better way to cope with whatever they are going through.

By asking God to help us each day is a starting point.

We have a choice to make to be joyful; first thing is to focus on God who gives joy.

Joy does not depend on our circumstances, but on our focus. Psalm 30:5 for his anger is but for a moment, and his favour is for a lifetime Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Bad things happen that we become unhappy about, that is different.

It does not mean to pretend everything is ok when it is not because that would be a lie.

I means acknowledging that you are struggling, and asking God to help you.

Joy shines through whatever we are going through because; it does not have anything to do with our circumstances.

Same thing with peace, you can be going through very difficult time and still find peace.

You can have all the money in the world and live in fear, worry and lack of peace of mind.

Peace comes from God. John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Be sensitive to people around you and be mindful not to put too much on others, as everyone has their own life struggles.

Appreciate the support you get from others and ask God to help you overcome whatever you are going through.

There is nothing to big for God to handle, but humans can be over stretched and burn out.

Others can help you but it is your ultimate decision to want to do better in life.

Pray, plan and surrender all to God. Do your part always and allow God to guide you.

Things would get complicated and difficult, things can get messy but it would get better again as long as you focus on the cross, where your help comes from.

Be prayerful, be accountable. You are not alone because God has promised to be with you always.

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [Mathew 28:20]
