On The Journey

Are you at a place in your life where you think you are not sure of what the future hold?

I am babysitting two lovely brothers this morning and cannot help praising God for his creation.

I was reminded on the journey I have been with their mum and the miracle God has shown by the birth of these adorable children.

Are you at a place in your life where you think you are not sure of what the future hold?

That is a good place to be because this is the time to remember what the bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (NIV)

For me it is constant reminder that nothing is impossible with God. As long as we do our part and be obedient to the word of God, he promised us that his words would not go back void until it has accomplished that which was spoken.

This might sound strange to someone who has never read the word of God from the bible, I encourage you to read the bible and trust God to speak to you through the words you read.

He is faithful and true and loves us so much and very willing to help us live a better life with spiritual growth that we can never imagine.

You become complete and lack nothing because you know a God who has everything, all you do is ask him when there is a need and you would be amazed at his provision.

If you are a good parent and your 14 years old child ask you for a gun for his birthday, you know he is too young to handle a gun, as he is not of the age limit to have a licence.

As a responsible parent, you would not give your 14 years old child a gun just because he asked for it, you would let him know he is too young to handle a gun. There are other questions you would ask like, what he needs a gun for etc.

The point is, when we don’t receive what we pray for, it is because there is always a waiting time in life.

The waiting time is the time we grow in faith, patience, trust and hope. We build a better relationship with the father through these waiting times, which in turn refines our character for the better.

So always remember that delay is not denial and if God does not give you what you ask for, trust him enough to know that when you learn the lesson he is drawing your attention to, he always has something better in store for you.

Obedience is the key. Blessings come through obedience.
