Home made Jam

Blueberry, grape and plum jam cooling down and waiting to be transferred into glass air tight jar.


Air tight jar



Same measurement for all three fruits and same process.

5 lb grapes

1 cup of sugar

2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

If you love smooth jam, blend the fruit before stewing.

Wash fruits and drain

Cut open plum and remove the pit

Cut grape in half

Steam fruit in a saucepan

Add sugar and allow to steam for 2/3 hours stirring regularly

Check consistency of stewing fruit, when fruit is thick enough to stick on the spoon, stir in lemon juice and allow to steam until consistency is thick enough to your taste.

Turn off the heat and allow to cool overnight.

If you feel it still too light, put it back to steam some more until you get the right consistency.

Jam ready to eat


I love chunky jam.

Remember to transfer jam into air tight jar when jam is cold.
